How to reset your password and find your Customer ID
To reset your password, you will need:
- Your Customer ID
- Your Date of Birth
- Your registered mobile to receive Westpac Protect SMS code or your SecureID token. Not registered for Westpac Protect SMS code? Find out how to register
To find your Customer ID online, you will need:
- Your Westpac debit card, credit card or handycard
- Your registered mobile number to receive your Westpac Protect SMS code or your SecureID token. Not registered for Westpac Protect SMS code? Find out how to register

Your Customer ID can be found towards the top of your Westpac Account Statement or in an email that you received when you opened an account or registered for Westpac Online Banking
Step 1: Open the Westpac App and select the three lines in the top left corner
Step 2: Tap on ‘Sign in settings’
Step 3: Tap on ‘Forgot password’ or ‘Forgot customer ID’
Step 4: Fill in the required fields and click Next
Step 5: Enter the SMS Code you would've received via SMS to your registered mobile number and click Authorise
Step 6: Follow the instructions to either display your Customer ID or to reset your password.
