How do I activate my new card?
Activating your card is easy. Just have your Westpac credit card or Debit Mastercard® details on hand.
If you’re already registered for online banking, you can activate your card online or on your mobile.
What about additional cardholders?
The primary cardholder (that’s the person who opens the card account with us) must activate their card first – additional cardholders won’t be able to activate their card before the primary cardholder has activated.
Each cardholder will need to activate their own card before they’re able to use it.
Other options to activate your card
- Telephone Banking - If you’re registered for Telephone Banking you can activate your card by calling 132 032. Follow the prompts to log in and select ‘other services’ followed by ‘card activation’.
- Phone - you can activate your card over the phone by calling us anytime on 1300 308 930
What else do I need to know?
You’ll also need to:
- Sign the back of your card
- Update any automatic payments
Westpac Mobile Banking applications are only available for use by Westpac Australia customers. Internet connection is needed to access Westpac Mobile Banking app. Normal mobile data charges apply.
