A Product Disclosure Statement (PDS) is a document, or sometimes a group of documents, that contains information about a financial product including any significant benefits and risks, the cost of the financial product and the fees and charges that the financial product issuer may receive. Supplementary PDSs may be issued from time to time and must be read in conjunction with the PDS to which they relate.
A Financial Services Guide (FSG) describes the financial services offered by, and important information about, a financial services licensee. Westpac Banking Corporation holds an Australian Financial Services Licence (AFSL). AFSL No 233714.
A Credit Guide (CG) provides important information about a licensee's obligations in relation to consumer lending products regulated by the National Credit Code. Effective 1 March 2011, Westpac holds an Australian Credit Licence (ACL) No. 233714.
The Banking Code of Practice
The sets the standards of practice and service in the Australian banking industry. The Code applies to individual and small business customers, as well as their individual guarantors. More information about the Code can be found here.
How to obtain a PDS or FSG
This page provides you with electronic access to the PDSs for financial products and services that are identified on this website and that are issued by Westpac Banking Corporation, product issuers within the Westpac Group of Companies and non related third party product issuers, together with electronic access to the FSGs for these companies.
Please note that some PDSs are not yet available and that some financial products, such as bank products and margin loans, are not required to have a PDS.
