Overview
Our platinum credit card that provides access to a credit facility to make payments and perform transactions, and offers the ability to earn Qantas Points and receive travel related benefits.
The important numbers

The following standard credit card interest rates, annual card fees and credit limits apply for the new card:

  • Minimum credit limit of $3,000
  • Annual card fee of $175 and annual Altitude Qantas Rewards Program fee of $75
  • Variable purchase rate of 20.99% p.a. and variable cash advance rate of 21.99% p.a.
  • Earn 0.75 Qantas Points per $1 on international spend
  • Earn 0.5 Qantas Points per $1 on everyday spend
  • Earn 0.35 Qantas Points per $1 spend on all other purchases[#]
  • Once you spend $5,000 in a statement cycle, you will earn 0.2 Qantas Points per $1 on further eligible purchases[#].

Get up to 100,000 bonus Qantas Points[#] — 70,000 bonus Qantas Points in year 1 if you spend $4k+ on eligible purchases[#] within 90 days of new card approval and an extra 30,000 points with $4k+ spend on eligible purchases[#] within 90 days of card anniversary in year 2.

Plus, a $0 card fee in the first year[#](reverts to $175 p.a. thereafter). A $75 Annual Rewards Program Fee applies if you choose Qantas Rewards Program.

Eligibility and what you'll need
You must be

  • Aged 18 or over AND

  • Live at a fixed Australian address AND

  • Receive a regular and verifiable Australian taxable income AND

  • Meet ONE of the following three requirements

    • Be an Australian or New Zealand citizen OR
    • Be an Australian permanent resident OR
    • Hold a valid temporary residence visa with a minimum of 1 year before expiry. See eligible Australian visa

  • Proof of income
  • Current debts and expenses
Two of these ID documents
  • Passport
  • Australian drivers' license
  • Medicare card
  • Australian birth certificate

Considerations

  • A higher interest rate on purchases than our low rate cards
  • A higher annual card fee than our non-rewards cards
  • Our Low Rate and Low Fee cards offer up to 55 days interest-free on purchases
  • $75 Annual Altitude Qantas Rewards Program fee isn't charged on Westpac Altitude Rewards cards
