Closing Westpac accounts

Before closing a Westpac Australia account, we suggest that you contact your Client Enquiry Manager to discuss. The reason for this is that there may be arrangements that could be impacted by the closure of the account. This may include direct entry services, periodic payments, EFTPOS Merchant settlement, or Corporate Online accounts.

We are happy to discuss these with you and where required, assist in making alternate arrangements before the account is closed.

How do I close my Westpac corporate account?

Please complete and return the Account Closure Request (PDF 431KB) when requesting the closure of an on-shore Australian dollar transactional account. This document allows you to type details directly onto it and should be signed by authorised signatories.

How do I close my foreign currency account?

Please complete and return the Foreign Currency Accounts Request for Account Closure request (PDF 67KB) when requesting the closure of an on-shore Foreign Currency account. This document allows you to type details directly onto it and should be signed by authorised signatories.

Please return completed documentation to your Client Development Associate.
