How do I create, change and cancel recurring payments?

Connect your business bank accounts with your accounting software.

Recurring payments can be created for BPAY®, Pay Anyone, Funds Transfers and international payments. You can set up recurring payments for an exact number of occurrences or until a certain date, unless cancelled.

Create payment - step by step guide

Desktop

After you’ve entered the payment details, in the Payment frequency section, select Recurring payment. Select the desired frequency of the recurring payment.
 

Mobile

To set up a recurring payment, select How often to set the frequency and the date to start payments.
 

Desktop

You can choose for a recurring payment to be completed On a certain date or After a number of payments. If you don’t make a choice, the recurring payment will default to No end date.
 

Mobile

Select one of the available frequencies offered (Once, Daily, Weekly, Every 2 weeks etc.).

Choose when you would like to stop the recurring payment in Payment repeats. Then select Continue.

Complete the payment by clicking Next then Confirm.

 

Select Continue and you will be taken to the payment confirmation page.

Select Confirm.

You have now set up your recurring payment.

 

Note: If you are part of a business network that requires multiple people to approve a payment, this requirement also applies to recurring payments. To approve a payment click on the Approval button in the top right corner of your online banking screen. Under the Payments tab, tick the payment under Approval progress you would like to approve.

Change amount - step by step guide

Desktop

Select Edit payment amount on the right.
 

Mobile

Select the recurring payment to be changed and tap Change amount. Change the amount and then select Save.
 

Desktop

Adjust the amount, then select Confirm.

You have now updated your recurring payment.  
 

Mobile

On the confirmation page select Update.

You have now updated your recurring payment.

 

Cancel payment - step by step guide

Desktop

Select the View option next to the recurring payment you would like to cancel.
 

Mobile

Select the Recurring Payment to be cancelled and tap Cancel recurring payment.
 

Desktop

Select the Cancel recurring payment option on the right.

You have now cancelled the recurring payment.
 

Mobile

Select Yes on the confirmation page.

You have now cancelled the recurring payment.

 

 

Note:

  • If you are a sole trader or an administrator of a business network, you can change and cancel recurring payments.
  • Also, if you have enabled two approvers for your payments, the standard approval process will need to be followed to cancel a recurring payment.
  • To approve a cancelled payment click on the Approval button in the top right corner of your online banking screen. Under the Payments tab, tick the payment under Approval progress you would like to cancel.
