Campaign FAQs
How do I know if I'm eligible for the $50?

You will be receiving the $50 cashback if:

  1. You have not held any transaction or savings account with the brand you are applying with in the past 2 years.
  2. You open both a transaction account AND a savings account. Both accounts must be in the same name.
  3. Open both accounts and spend $50 or more using your Westpac Choice transaction account within 15 calendar days.
  4. You are all done! Within 60 days you will see a payment in your account which will appear as"WBC DOUBLE YOU".
Are joint accounts eligible?

No. Joint accounts are not eligible for this promotion.

Even if both individuals meet other requirements, joint accounts are excluded under the T&Cs.

When will I receive the $50 cashback?

The $50 cashback will be paid within 60 days after all eligibility criteria have been met.

The cashback will be deposited into your new savings account and will appear as 'WBC DOUBLE YOU' in the transaction description.

What if I spend the $50 in multiple smaller transactions?
Yes, this still qualifies as long as the total is $50 or more and all transactions are processed by day 15. For example, if you spend $15 on Day 3, $30 on Day 10, and $10 on Day 12, this would be considered eligible as the total amount spent within the 15-day period equals $50.
I spent $50 on day 15, but it was still pending. Am I still eligible?
No. The transaction must be fully processed (not pending) by the end of the 15th calendar day.
