Switch to online statements
Receive your statements online
You can now choose to stop receiving paper statements for eligible accounts and view them online instead. You will receive an email advising that your statement is available online. Then, all you have to do is to sign onto Westpac Online Banking to view them.
Online statements can be printed if a hard copy is required.
Will my online statement look the same as the paper one I receive in the mail?
Your online statement will be in a different format, but it will contain the same information as your paper statement. It is legally acceptable, even for record keeping purposes. You can also print a statement in the same format as a standard paper statement.
Note: Online statements for Westpac One will not display graphs or charts.
How online statements help both you and the environment
By switching from paper to online statements, 280,000 customers have already helped Westpac save 140 tonnes of greenhouse gases, around 740 trees, nearly 60 tonnes of paper and more than 1.8 million litres of water. That's great news for the environment.
You also benefit by reducing your risk to identity theft. Paper statements can be easily lost or stolen, leaving private banking details open to abuse.
Using online statements can make your day-to-day banking even easier. Up to 7 years of statement history is available online. This gives you secure and convenient access to your eligible account statements at no additional cost.
We will send you an email when your online statement is available
You will receive an email notification for each account you register every time your online statement becomes available. The frequency of emails depends on your account statement cycle. For example, if you have a Westpac One package on a monthly statement cycle, you will receive an email notification once a month.
You must have a valid email address to be eligible to receive online statements.
How to view your online statements
Follow these steps to view your online statements:
- Sign into Westpac Online Banking
- Select the relevant account from the Accounts screen
- Select the Statement tab to view your most recent statement.
What happens if I don't receive the email notification?
If an email notification is not delivered to your email address, we will let you know by sending a message to your Westpac Online Banking Message Centre. Credit card accounts will also receive a letter in the mail (this letter will not include a statement).
If an email notification delivery fails 3 consecutive times, your email address will be marked as obsolete and your account statements options will be switched back to paper statements. You will receive a message in your Westpac Online Banking Message Centre to let you know of this change. Credit card accounts will also receive a letter in the mail (this letter will not include a statement).

Can I stop receiving paper statements for joint accounts?

More than one account holder can receive email notifications, or you can nominate just one account holder to receive them.
