How to top up my super
You can boost your super by making an after tax contribution - the money you earn on your super investments are taxed at a maximum of 15%, rather than a maximum of 46.5% in non-super investments.
This means that an after tax contribution to your superannuation could be a more effective way to save for retirement, rather than investing or saving your money outside of super.
Add money to…
- BT Super for Life - we’ve made it easy for you to add money to your BT Super for Life savings account. Simply transfer money using online banking
- Westpac Personal Superannuation, Westpac Lifetime Superannuation Plan or Westpac Personal Superannuation Investment Plan - you can top up these products using a direct debit. This is where you can instruct Westpac to transfer money from your bank account to your super, on a date arranged by Westpac.
Check your account allows direct debits
You should note that direct debits are not available on all accounts provided by financial institutions. If you are not sure if your account allows direct debits, please verify this with your financial institution before giving us the Direct Debit Request Form (PDF 65kb).
