International students
How your parents can provide for you
Your parents may be living overseas and paying for your study and living expenses while you are an international student in Australia.
An easy way for them to manage this is to open a Westpac Cash Manager account. They can choose to open it with a lump sum amount, and then arrange regular automatic periodic payments to your nominated student account in your name.
This way, you can receive a steady income and your parents receive a competitive rate of interest on balances of $10,000 and above.
About the account
Fees
- A monthly service fee of A$5 applies. However, if a balance of over A$10,000 is maintained, this fee will be waived
- Other fees and charges maybe payable.
Features and benefits
- Paperless eStatements as standard (paper statements available on request)
- Tiered interest for balances of A$10,000 and above (see our current interest rates for further details)
- Unlimited Online Banking and automated Telephone Banking transactions.

As the application process for overseas applicants is quite different to the process for Australian citizens and residents, it is important that you use only the application process on this page.
