Which mobile phones are supported?
Our Mobile Banking site has been optimised for mainstream mobile browsers and operating systems to ensure the highest level of security and best mobile experience. We support the following systems:
- Apple iOS 3.0 and above
- Android™ 2.2 and above
- BlackBerry® 6.0 and above.

Is Mobile Banking secure?
Westpac Mobile Banking provides the same high level security as our Online Banking. Our Security Guarantee1 means we’ll refund your money if your account is compromised due to internet fraud, as long as you comply with our Online Banking Terms and Conditions. This includes keeping your access codes and passwords private.

Do I need to register for Mobile Banking?
To use Mobile Banking you must be registered for Westpac Online Banking or Business Online Banking and have an 8 digit Customer ID and password. You must also have signed in through your PC and accepted the Online Banking Terms and Conditions.

How do I download the Westpac app?
iPhone or iPod touch users can also download our iPhone app from the App Store. Android™ users can download our Android™ app from the Android Market.
What if I forget my password?
You can reset your password instantly if you’re registered for Westpac Protect™ SMS code by clicking on 'Forgotten your password?' in the iPhone and Android Westpac Banking apps.
How do I schedule a payment to be paid on a future date?
Just like you would in Online Banking, simply go to BPAY, Pay Anyone or Transfer Funds in Mobile Banking, complete the payment details and choose the appropriate date. You can view all payments scheduled for a future date in the Pending Payments list.
Can I change my daily payment limit through Mobile Banking?
You can’t change your daily payment limit through Mobile Banking. You need to go to Online Banking on your computer and choose Your Daily Limit from the left hand menu.
If you’re a Business Online Banking customer, your administrator can instantly change your Daily Payment Limit. If you don’t have an administrator, you’ll need to complete the request form to change your Daily Payment Limit.
Do I need to use my Westpac Protect SMS code or SecurID token?
If you’re a Westpac Online Banking customer registered for Westpac Protect SMS code you’ll need to enter the SMS code for certain transactions. If you’re a Business Online Banking customer with a SecurID token you’ll need this to make payments over your payment limit in Mobile Banking.
How much does Mobile Banking cost?
Mobile Banking is free but standard fees and charges for using Online Banking still apply. For more on fees and charges see Westpac Online Banking. Internet Data Charges and call to us charges may be incurred through your mobile or internet service providers.

Simply call 1300 655 505 (8am-8pm, 7 days a week) for help with your Mobile Banking. You can also click on the Help icon at the bottom of every page in Mobile Banking.
