Am I eligible?
- Residential Home and Contents Insurance is for home owners, tenants and owners of weekender/holiday homes in Australia.
- This insurance is only available to existing Westpac customers.
Note: Landlords whose property is casually let or on a long-term lease should instead apply for Landlord Home and Contents Insurance.

How can I apply?
- Online - Get a quote online in as little as 10 minutes
- Over the phone by calling us on 1300 650 255, 8am - 7pm, Monday - Friday (Sydney time) and we’ll run through the application together to obtain your quote
- In person by visiting any Westpac branch.
What happens next?
If you apply online, you can pay by credit card or direct debit to setup your cover and then download a copy of the Product Disclosure Statement and your completed Policy Schedule. We’ll then send you an email confirming that you’re covered.
If you apply over the phone or in person and you're happy with the quote and meet the policy's eligibility requirements, we’ll proceed with payment, setup the cover and then provide the Product Disclosure Statement and your Policy Schedule.

- The features and benefits contained in the Westpac Home and Contents Insurance Product Disclosure Statement including policy wording (dated 3 October 2009), are available to new customers from 3 October 2009 and first become available to existing Home and Contents Insurance customers upon the next renewal of their policy on or after 3 October 2009.
- This insurance product is issued by Westpac General Insurance Limited ABN 99 003 719 319 (WGIL) and distributed by Westpac Banking Corporation ABN 33 007 457 141(the Bank). Before making a decision about this insurance, you should consider the Product Disclosure Statement (PDS) and policy wording and whether it is appropriate for you.
