Summary of the home loan application process:

Step 1 – Ensure you meet the criteria
You can apply for a home loan from overseas or soon after arrival in Australia if you are *:
  • an Australian citizen or permanent resident returning to Australia
  • a migrant on an employer sponsored visa (permanent or temporary – most subclasses)
  • a migrant on a Skilled – Permanent, or Skilled Independent or Skilled Independent Regional (Provisional) visa (most subclasses)

  • a Business Skill, Investor or Talent visa (most subclasses) migrant and you either have or had a business in your country of origin for at least 2 years or a business in Australia.
Email us if you are unsure and would like us to clarify whether your visa subclass is included in the above.
