If this sounds like you, then Westpac's Going Global Business Workshops might be the solution you are looking for. Run by Westpac's Business Advisory Services team, the Going Global Business Workshops consist of two series: one for exporting businesses and one for importing businesses. Each series consists of three, two-and-a-half hour workshops, and costs just $650 (including GST).


Introduction

These workshops are focused on supporting importing and exporting businesses in making more informed decisions about their future and receive the support of Austrade. They can help you in understanding:
  • the differences between sourcing goods domestically and offshore
  • the resource requirements that should be considered when importing/exporting
  • the risks associated with international trade including hidden costs and how to manage and/or mitigate these risks
  • foreign exchange risk and payment options
  • Incoterms and their application

Importing

Module 1 - Put your importing cycle under the microscope to identify and manage hidden risks, reducing lead time to delivery, saving you time and money.

Module 1 - Assess the steps involved in your exporting cycle to help you manage additional risk and resource requirements, enabling it to operate more efficiently
