About the Westpac Foundation

The Westpac Foundation is a charitable trust which invests to create and sustain social enterprise in disadvantaged communities, principally in Australia.

Each year the Foundation provides grants to help not-for-profit organisations establish community based projects. Since the Foundation began in 1999, over $16m has been awarded in grants to over 100 organisations. The main focus is to help organisations address the causes of social problems in disadvantaged communities.

The Foundation operates independently, and makes funding decisions solely for the public benefit and without regard to the commercial interests of Westpac Banking Corporation.

Your organisation may be eligible to apply if:

  • You are a not-for profit with deductible gift recipient status in Australia
  • Your program matches our funding priorities
  • You are seeking funding for programs planned to start in 2010

The Foundation does not have capacity to fund sponsorship requests, general donations or ongoing funds for existing programs.

If you are planning to seek Foundation funding, it is important that you understand fully our funding priorities and application process
