Tasmanian Westpac Rescue Helicopter Service

Westpac has partnered with the Tasmanian Air Rescue Trust to boost rescue services in Tasmania. Through this partnership the Westpac Rescue Helicopter Service in Tasmania was launched on 29 April 2005.

The Westpac Rescue Helicopter Service provides a vital air rescue service for people living in or visiting Tasmania, and is available 24 hours a day, every day of the year. It attends a wide range of emergencies, from motor vehicle accidents to search and rescue missions across Tasmania and surrounding waters.

The twin-engine helicopter is equipped with intensive care medical equipment and a range of rescue devices, and can fly into almost any area in any weather condition, day or night.
