Life Saving Victoria

Life Saving Victoria is an initiative of the Royal Life Saving Society of Australia – Victoria branch, and Surf Life Saving Victoria. Westpac entered into partnership with Life Saving Victoria in 2003.

The Westpac Lifesaver Rescue Service provides additional back up and support to the 58 patrolling clubs and 31 professional lifeguard services operating across Victoria. The aircraft are fitted with communications systems allowing integration and communication between Lifesaving Command and other emergency services.

The Westpac Lifesaver Rescue Plane patrols the stretch of coastline between Lorne and Phillip Island every day that volunteer lifesavers and professional lifeguards are on duty. Meanwhile, the Westpac Lifesaver Rescue Helicopter is on standby 24 hours a day, seven days a week for search and rescue across Victoria.
