Westpac to retain its Melbourne premises

Westpac today announced it would extend the lease on its 360 Collins Street, Melbourne corporate office for a further five years, until 2014. The lease was due to expire in 2009.

The decision follows an extensive review of Westpac's Melbourne corporate office requirements, which determined that the option to relocate Westpac's Melbourne offices into one central location was currently not viable.

The review took into account a number of factors, including cost, infrastructure requirements and the convenience of current office locations.
