Shareholders Benefits Package

Rewarding our shareholders

Since 1998, Westpac has operated a package of benefits to reward shareholders for their support. At the same time the package allows us to deepen the financial relationship with our owners.

The package, last revised in June 2008, has been developed with the specific needs of investors in mind, offering savings on loans, investments and wealth products, as well as savings on everyday banking.

The package also allows the partner and/or children of eligible shareholders to share in the benefits, by providing them access to discounted establishment fees on selected property loans.

Eligible shareholders should have their Shareholders Benefits card handy when accessing any of the many benefits they are entitled to. For more information call the Shareholders Benefits Package line on 1300 360 599 any time.

Shareholders resident in Australia are entitled to savings on many of our products and services if they have 500 shares or more. Read on for details of the range of benefits shareholders can take advantage of.

Eligibility
Shareholders who are Australian residents, holding a minimum of 500 fully paid ordinary Westpac shares (in any one holding), are eligible to access the Shareholders Benefits Package. Eligible shareholders will receive a benefits card annually, included with the July dividend payment notice, which can be used to access their benefits. Just show the card at any Westpac branch or a photocopy of the front of the card with any mailed application forms to receive your benefits

During the year, new, eligible shareholders and shareholders who become eligible through purchases or DRP participation will be sent a Shareholder Benefits Card in the first 10 days of the month following them becoming eligible.

Companies and trusts that hold a minimum of 500 fully paid ordinary Westpac shares can nominate one individual to benefit under the Shareholders Benefits Package. Benefits cannot be split between more than one individual, and cannot be applied to any business related account or business purpose. To nominate an individual, take your card into a branch and state your request. You do not need to apply to have a separate card issued, nor write to the bank with a special request.
