Training and development is conducted in Westpac for inducting, skilling and maximising the performance of employees. It is the manager's role to ensure that their employees are adequately trained to perform their tasks and that training is embedded in the performance culture of their teams.
Westpac operates as a Registered Training Organisation that gives employees opportunities for internal training and to gain recognition on the Australian Qualifications Training framework. Training recognised and completed in this framework is eligible for Australia-wide qualifications and may also qualify for government funding.
