We have a range of products and services that are designed to reduce banking fees for some of our customers. You are eligible if you receive a disability support pension, mobility allowance or a pension as an aged blind-person.

Choose from one of three accounts that will help you bank fee-free:

Basic Account
This low cost everyday transaction account is great if you receive a government pension or allowance and hold a Health Care Card or Pensioner Concession Card and have the pension or allowance paid into the account.

With a Basic Account you'll:

• Pay NO monthly service fee
• Enjoy unlimited free Westpac transactions¹

Deeming Account
This everyday account is designed to help you deal with Government deeming rules. It's ideal if you hold an eligible Pensioner Concession Card or are over 55 and retired.

The Federal Government sets – or deems – interest rates for pensioners which it uses to assess income. We use this deemed interest rate as a guide for setting the interest rate for the Deeming account.

With a Deeming account you'll:

• Pay NO monthly service fee
• Earn a competitive rate of interest
• Enjoy eight free withdrawals a month and unlimited free deposits

More access to Westpac staff
We understand that if you have difficulty accessing services it may be easier for you to access services through our branches. That's why, with a Basic Account, you'll have unlimited staff-assisted withdrawals for no charge.

With the Deeming account, we've reduced our fees for using a branch once you've used your free transactions for the month. Instead of the standard $2.50 per staff-assisted withdrawal, you'll pay 60c. That's a saving of $1.90.

Westpac Choice eAccount
If a Basic or Deeming Account doesn't meet your needs, then Westpac Choice eAccount could be ideal for you.
With Westpac Choice eAccount you'll:

• Pay a $3 flat monthly account service fee ¹.
• Enjoy unlimited Westpac electronic transactions (i.e. Internet Banking, Automated Telephone Banking, ATMs and EFTPOS)
• Enjoy unlimited staff-assisted withdrawals if you are a customer with a disability³

To open an account, please bring in your Pensioner Concession Card, Health Care Card showing that you receive a disability support pension, mobility allowance, or pension as an aged blind person; or a letter from the Department of Veterans' Affairs stating that you receive a disability benefit.
