Westpac Basic Account Westpac Basic Account is a social safety net account for customers who hold a Pensioner Concession Card or Health Care Card. It offers unlimited fee-free withdrawals and deposits, as well as the following features:

Deeming account
The Deeming account offers eight free withdrawals per month, unlimited free deposits, no monthly service fees, and credit interest based on the Government's Deeming rates. Customers need to hold a valid Pensioner Concession Card or Health Care Card to open the account. Customers aged 55 years of age or older and retired from the workforce are also eligible to open Deeming Statement accounts.
Helping Indigenous Australians build their own future
The Indigenous Capital Assistance Scheme, an Australian Government initiative in conjunction with the Department of Employment and Workplace Relations provides eligible Indigenous business owners with access to business finance and advisory support. Finance from $20,000 to $500,000 with subsidised interest rates for the first three years, reimbursement of up to $22,500 for professional services and free business mentoring support are some of the key features of the scheme.

We offer a range of benefits to high school and tertiary students, workers under 21 and university graduates via our youth and student services.
The Student Visa Card comes with the option of a $300, $400 or $500 credit limit for eligible student customers, assessed against their income from casual/ part-time job or Austudy. It can provide students with peace of mind when bills arrive or expenses are incurred out of step with their income.
Helping to smooth out the budget
The Low Rate Mastercard or Visa offers a lower rate of interest in a basic credit card product for eligible customers. This product can offer customers the ability to borrow money at a lower rate when they need it.

EcoNomical Living Program
The EcoNomical Living Program helps our mortgage customers reduce their environmental footprint and save money on utility bills. The initiative features discounts and rebates on a range of environmentally friendly initiatives such as home insulation, green electricity, solar hot water systems and rain water tanks.
Green Credit Card Initiative Our credit card customers can now use their rewards points to purchase energy and water saving devices – including energy efficient light globes and water saving showerheads – or offset their greenhouse emissions and go carbon neutral.
