Specialised Capital Group (SCG) is an arranger and manager of equity investments primarily in the area of alternative assets – ie infrastructure, public private partnerships, property, private equity and high yield debt for retail and wholesale investor customers of Westpac.

As part of the SCG, Westpac has two funds management subsidiaries: Hastings Funds Management Limited (Hastings) and Westpac Financial Services Limited (WFML).

Examples of what we do include:

WFML – Westpac's new head office at Kent Street has been acquired and investment securities were issued by WFML to retail customers supported by the property asset and a long term lease from Westpac Banking Corporation

Hastings – acquired on behalf of its various funds an interest in Mid Kent Water. As part of the acquisition Westpac provided a bridge facility to a Hastings managed fund to allow it to acquire its 50% interest in Mid Kent Water
