Westpac General Insurance offers a wide selection of general insurance products that provide protection for consumer, high net worth and small business customers. Westpac underwrites home, contents, landlords, personal loan protection, credit card repayment protection and lenders mortgage insurance, and manages on behalf of the Bank, arrangements with external general insurance product providers.

Products are sold through housing finance mangers, the bank branch network, call centres, relationship banking, business direct, private bank and Westpac web site. More than 760,000 customers now hold a Westpac General Insurance product.

The value add and prime benefit of a general insurance product sale is that it will help Westpac to retain and grow its customer base and add to group profitability. It also creates satisfied customers, because GI products deliver what customers expect and need in an insurance policy.
