By switching from paper to estatements 280,000 customers have already helped Westpac save 140 tonnes of greenhouse gases, around 740 trees, nearly 60 tonnes of paper and more than 1.8 million litres of water.
That's great news for the environment, and our customers benefit too. By offering estatements on selected accounts, Westpac is helping the fight against identity theft. Paper statements can be easily lost or stolen leaving private banking details open to abuse.
As well as increased security, customers are making the switch to estatements to make their day-to-day banking even easier. Online statement history has been extended to seven years, giving customers secure and convenient access to their eligible credit card, savings and transaction account statements at no additional cost. Estatements can also be printed if a hard copy is ever required.
When your online statement is ready to view you will be notified by email. You'll receive a separate email notification for each account you switch from paper.
