Mrs Pearce* was devastated when she was diagnosed with breast cancer last year at the age of 40. She was working part time in her husband's business, as well as being a mother of two young children.

Fortunately, in September 1998, Mrs Pearce and her husband had taken out a Westpac Term Life policy with the optional living insurance benefit. On confirmation of her condition, she was paid the full sum insured of $265,000.

After 12 months from the date Westpac paid her claim, Mrs Pearce will also have the option of buying back 50 percent of her life cover. She can also buy back the remaining 50 percent in a further twelve months' time – ensuring she once again has full life cover for the future.

A Westpac Financial Planner can help you tailor a Westpac Term Life policy with living insurance benefit to give you and your family peace of mind.
