1. This special rate is only available to customers who are applying for an applicable Westpac card and wish to transfer the balance(s) from a non-Westpac or non-Virgin credit card(s), charge card(s) or store card(s). Each balance transfer must be a minimum amount of $200. This promotion is only available at point of new card application. The special balance transfer promotional rate will apply from the time the balance transfer is made to your account for the number of months specified in the offer (unless these amounts are paid off earlier). After this time, any amount of the initial balance transfer still outstanding will attract the standard product interest rate then applicable to cash advances. Subsequent balance transfers made after point of new card application will be charged the standard product interest rate applicable to cash advances. Please note that payments made to the credit card are first applied to amounts transferred from other credit cards, charge cards or store cards under this offer, before they applied to any other cash advance or purchase amount. This will mean that the portion of your outstanding account balance that is subject to a lower interest rate will be paid off first and you will not gain the benefit of any interest-free days on purchases until the full balance (including any balance transfer or any other promotional amount) is paid by the statement due date each month.
2. If you obtain a credit card as part of a Westpac package or switch from an existing Westpac card, you are not eligible for the bonus points described. Promotion not available in conjunction with any other promotion. The bonus Altitude points will be added to your account within 8 weeks of when you first use your card. Altitude points not earned on cash advances. You must have earned a minimum of 3,000 points before you can redeem for any rewards. The earning and redemption of Altitude points (including available rewards and expiry of points) is subject to the Altitude Terms and Conditions. You do not receive points if your card account is in arrears for 2 consecutive statement cycles. You are not entitled to points in other circumstances – see the Altitude Terms and Conditions.
3. On credit purchases only, where account balance (including any balance transfer amount) is paid in full by the due date each month. Interest on cash advances is calculated from the date the transaction is debited to your card account.
4. Altitude bonus points are earned on purchases made at participating Bonus Partner outlets. Only Australian Bonus Partner outlets apply unless stated otherwise.
5. You must be a member of the relevant frequent flyer program to redeem Altitude points for frequent flyer points. Under the Altitude terms and conditions, you must have earned at least 3,000 Altitude points before you can redeem them for frequent flyer points. You must redeem a minimum of 3,000 points with additional increments in multiples of 500 points at a time for frequent flyer points. Award flights are subject to capacity controls and availability is limited. Some flights may not have any Award seats available. The terms and conditions of the relevant frequent flyer program apply.
6. You cannot top up Altitude points with cash to enable you to redeem them for frequent flyer points.
7. Subject to Altitude Terms and Conditions, Altitude points do not expire as long as you remain an Altitude cardholder.
8. An additional set of cards can be issued to anyone you nominate, provided they are over the age of 16 years. All Altitude points remain the benefit of the primary cardholder.
9. A cash advance fee applies.
