SecurID® tokens

TokenToken delivers new level of banking convenience and security
SecurID® tokens are one of the most advanced Internet transaction security systems in the world allowing you to make higher-value payments online. The ultra-secure process combines a security code generated by your SecurID® token and an individual password known only to the user. All your transaction and token details are protected by the strength of 128-bit encryption.

Important - this is your electronic signature. Therefore:
  • Never reveal your token password to anyone
  • Keep your token secure, don't leave it lying around on a desk - it can be fitted easily to a key ring or neck chain
  • If you lose or misplace your token, contact us as soon as possible to either stop its use or cancel it completely
  • Treat your token with care
  • Don't expose the token to extreme temperatures.

  • How to activate your token
    1. Log into Business Online, select 'A' – Banking, followed by 'B' – Your Details from the left-hand main menu.
    2. Select 'C' – the Token tab from this page
    3. You will need to set 2 security questions and answers - these will be used to help you re-set your token password should you forget it
    4. You will then be asked to set an alpha-numeric password for your token (6-8 characters contain at least one number)
    5. Finally, you will be asked to enter the token serial number (found on the back of the token), as well as the digital number displayed on the token screen
    6. Select 'Submit' to complete the token activation.

    Using your token is easy
Each time you make a payment using the Pay Anyone, Overseas or Periodic Payment feature that is in excess of your current daily online banking limit, you will be prompted to enter your token password and the digital code to authorise payment. This prompt will appear within the existing payment confirmation page for online banking.

Remember that each time you make a transaction you will have to enter a different security code because for enhanced security reasons, your token generates a new number every 60 seconds.

Practise simple safety precautions to lower your risk
We are continually upgrading security and looking for more ways to protect your Business Internet Banking. In the meantime, the preventative measures listed below can help you better keep your financial information protected.
