The Centre for Innovation, Business and Manufacturing

This State Government service provides information, advice and financial assistance programs in order to assist business to become more competitive and profitable which will help to grow the economic base of South Australia. The Centre for Innovation, Business and Manufacturing offers access to business advisers, business education programs for new business starters and existing owners, and information on State and Commonwealth business assistance programs and licences.

The SA Employers' Chamber provides a central advisory service for large and small employers in this State. Entrepreneur Business Centre (EBC)

The Entrepreneur Business Centre (EBC) is Australia's leading provider of industry based information and resources for the small business sector. Since 1993, they have been researching and publishing industry specific Business Start-Up, Management, Benchmarking and Internet Guides covering over 230 different industries. Office of the Small Business Advocate

The Advocate investigates complaints about government from small businesses and negotiates on behalf of the complainant. They work with government agencies to encourage business friendly approaches to small business in policies, practices and procedures. They also monitor government policies and provides feedback on their impact on small business. The office does not provide legal advice nor does it help in trader to trader disputes. It resolves issues between businesses and government by conciliation, cooperation and discussion.

Accountants can help you with your financial management. You should call either the Australian Society of Certified Practicing Accountants Ph (08) 8232 3188 or the Institute of Chartered Accountants Ph (08) 8231 5926 for a referral.
AusIndustry provides access to government programs to support businesses that are doing research and development, exporting or developing import replacements, or supplying firms involved in international trade. For more information you should call the AusIndustry Hotline on Ph 132 846.
Industry Associations provide advice and assistance relevant to their industry. Examples of their groups include the Retail Traders Associations, Master Builders Association, Institute of Automotive Mechanical Engineers (Inc) amongst others. You should contact the Industry Association that best covers your business type.
