National Farmers Federation
The index has been formulated to provide daily real time price movements in Australia's rural commodity exports. The level of the index is determined by the prices of Australia's six main farm exports, namely wheat, beef, wool, cotton, sugar and canola. The prices of these commodities have been indexed and then weighted according to their gross export value.
