Coverage

Property
Provides protection for buildings, contents and stock against fire, explosion, earthquake, storm and tempest, to name a few of the risks available under this section. Replacement cover applies unless indicated otherwise on the Schedule.

Business Interruption
Disruption to trading in the aftermath of a fire or some other insured event can have more serious and financial ramifications than the actual damage itself. To better counter this risk you can insure your business's gross income or elected weekly income as well as payroll and any gross rental expenses incurred.

Theft and Money
Covers your contents and/or stock against theft. Additionally, monies can be insured in transit, on your premises or in your private residence. Further benefits are automatically covered, including damage to locks, injury during theft and replacement clothing, tools or personal effects.

Glass
Provides cover for the replacement cost of either external or internal glass, or both, as well as specified glass items such as signs for the selected sum insured.

Public and Product Liability
Your business can be covered against liability to pay compensation for personal injury or damage to property, including liability arising from the ownership of buildings or land in connection with your business.

Employee dishonesty
Provides cover against fraudulent or dishonest actions committed by your employees that directly results in loss of money, negotiable instruments or goods.

Machinery, pressure equipment and goods in cold chambers
You can cover damage to machinery caused by mechanical or electrical breakdown. Additionally, boilers and pressure equipment can also be insured against explosion and collapse.

Goods in cold chambers can also be covered against deterioration due to power supply interruptions.

Computer systems and electronic equipment
There are several sections of cover available under this insurance category.
  • Section A, provides a choice of 3 covers: Fire and Perils, Accidental Damage (including Theft) and Breakdown.
  • Section B includes cover for Business Interruption as a result of a financial loss incurred under Section A, such as the increased cost of working and reinstating data.

General property
Primarily covers property (excluding stock) that is moved around such as tools of trades or laptops. Multiple choices and variations of cover can be included depending on type of business conducted.

Taxation investigation
Covers costs incurred by your accountant or register tax agent (after receiving notification from the Australian Taxation Office) in conducting an audit or investigation into your tax liability.
