We understand the opportunities that trading in overseas markets can provide. These workshops highlight the challenges faced with importing or exporting and how these may place added pressure on your cash flow cycle.

Our Going Global workshops enable importing and exporting businesses to make more informed decisions about the risks and benefits of international trade.

What the workshop covers

At our Going Global workshop we will help you learn how to:

  • Identify the business resources required when importing and/or exporting
  • Assess the risks associated with international trade and how to manage and/or mitigate these risks
  • Use international payment facilities and understand how these could assist your cash flow
  • Understand and apply Incoterms
  • Develop a series of action plans so learnings can be put to work the next day.

You don’t have to be a Westpac customer to attend this workshop series, however we reward Westpac customers with a 25% discount off our standard workshop fee. To be eligible for this discount either you, your business, or organisation must be a Westpac customer. Simply tell us the relevant 8 digit customer number when registering.

Not a Westpac customer yet?

If either, you, your business or organisation becomes a Westpac customer within 30 days of completing a workshop series, we’ll welcome you aboard by refunding 25% of the workshop fee. To become a Westpac customer simply open a Westpac bank account in your personal name, or the same name of the business or organisation that you represented at the workshop. Refunds will be payable to the legal entity (person, business, or organisation) that paid for your attendance at the workshop.
