What is PayWay?

PayWay is a simple, secure, internet-based solution that helps you to better manage cash flow and customer payments.

PayWay has a suite of modules that support multiple payment types, such as one off and repeat payments.

One off payments

For one off payments, you could offer your customers the option:

  • To pay by credit card through your website or call centre
  • To place telephone or mail orders
  • To pay over the phone 24 hours a day with an interactive voice response system.

Repeat payments

For repeat payments, you could offer your customers the option:

  • Regular debits from their bank account or credit card
  • To sign up for regular debits through a secure web page
  • To pay regular, monthly or annual fees.

Westpac hosted PayWay

Westpac hosted PayWay is an off-the-shelf customisable solution that lets customers pay by credit and debit cards using a secure hosted webpage.

  • Accept credit card and PayPal payments using a secure Westpac hosted webpage with PayWay Net
  • Collect payments from invoices or integrate it with your shopping cart or website
  • The option to accept credit card payments over the phone 24/7 with PayWay Phone
  • 3D Secure is available for an extra layer of protection for your business. Schemes supported are Visa and Mastercard.

PayWay API*

PayWay API lets your servers seamlessly talk to Westpac's credit card processing functions for real-time, straight-through payment authorisation.

  • PayWay API allows you to integrate Westpac’s credit card processing system into your front-end applications
  • For use in your call centre, website or software with Westpac's credit card processing functions
  • A simple and secure way of processing credit card payments with real-time authorisation
  • 3D Secure is available for an extra layer of protection for your business. Schemes supported are Visa and Mastercard
  • PayWay REST API allows you to integrate Apple Pay4 and Google Pay5 into your front-end applications for added convenience.

PayWay Virtual Terminal

PayWay Virtual Terminal  gives your staff the ability to process card payments via a secure PayWay webpage without the need for a physical EFTPOS machine.

  • Accepts all major credit cards for added convenience
  • It's suitable for processing phone, mail or other ad hoc orders
  • Configure up to four Custom Fields allowing you to collect additional information
  • Multiple staff can access the Virtual Terminal simultaneously.

Things you should know
Applications for merchant services are subject to approval.  Terms and conditions and other fees and charges (PDF 334KB) apply. Full details are available on request.
 

1.  If you want to accept American Express, Diners Club or JCB cards you will need to enter separate agreements with American Express, Diners Club International or JCB International.


2. Same day settlement is available for Visa and Mastercard transactions processed before 6p.m. AEST and that are settled to a Westpac business transaction account. Does not include weekend or national public holidays, where settlement will occur on the next banking day. Transactions processed through other card schemes are subject to your agreement with the relevant card scheme.

3. If you would like to receive a single electronic report with a bulk credit on your bank statement, then talk to us.


4. Read the Apple Pay Terms and Conditions (PDF 42KB) before making a decision and consider if it is right for you. To use Apple Pay you will need an eligible card and a compatible device with a supported operating system. See our Apple Pay FAQs for more information.
