The Westpac Group's Matching Gifts program
Our people choose the charities we support. Through The Westpac Group's Matching Gifts program we match the donations of our employees, dollar for dollar, to any tax-deductible charity in Australia.
This year we celebrate 10 years of giving supporting a diverse range of causes that our people feel passionate about.
Since 1999, close to $20 million has been provided to more than 1200 charities, thanks to the generosity of employees and our Matching Gifts program.
This year approximately 550 charities received over $2 million, raised from employee donations and Matching Gifts. Over $800,000 of this total was donated to the Victorian Bushfire Relief Appeal as our employees rallied to support those impacted by the Victorian bushfires.
