Westpac appoints new State General Manager in Tasmania

Westpac Banking Corporation today announced the recent appointment of Sally Kirkright as its State General Manager in Tasmania.

Ms Kirkright, 43 is based in Hobart and as Westpac's senior banker in Tasmania is responsible for the bank's business banking and branch presence in the state.

With a banking career spanning 20 years in Australian and international banks, Ms Kirkright brings extensive expertise to the State General Manager role in Tasmania, including experience in various roles in business, corporate and Private banking. Ms Kirkright joined Westpac in 1993 and has held various roles in Relationship Management of customers, Business Banking and Risk.

Westpac's General Manager of Regional Banking Trudy Vonhoff commented: "Sally's experience and management roles made her the ideal candidate to take on this position. Her personal interest in Tasmania over the last few years means that she's well positioned to get to know and understand the needs of our local customers."

Sally a great supporter of the extensive involvement our employees have in various community projects in Tasmania including their strong support of the Westpac Rescue Helicopter Service and the Surf Life Saving Tasmania.

"Last year our Tasmanian employees helped raise funds for these services and having recently met with the Westpac Rescue Helicopter Service and Surf Life Saving Tasmania I've learnt more about its vital role in the community," said Sally Kirkright.

Westpac employs over 830 staff in Tasmania, operates 22 banking sites and two call centres.
